Self Protection Private Training

$100 - 1 hr

  • Self-Protection Training is a comprehensive approach to personal safety that equips you with the tools and knowledge to protect yourself in various situations. It focuses on developing a strong mindset, increasing situational awareness, and learning how to identify and mitigate potential threats. This training includes essential elements such as threat profiling, de-escalation techniques, and proactive prevention strategies, all aimed at empowering you to take control of your safety and respond effectively when faced with danger.

  • Our Self-Protection classes are tailored to your specific training goals and needs. We cover key topics like effective striking, defense against common strikes, chokes, and grabs, as well as specialized training with self-defense tools such as neck knives and firearms. You'll also learn grappling techniques for weapon retention and draw. Emphasizing a mindset-first approach, we integrate elements from combat sports like Krav Maga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to help you recognize, evaluate, and respond to potential threats effectively. All topics are customizable to ensure you get the most out of your training experience.

  • Train individually, with a friend or spouse, or as part of a larger group. Additionally, women have the option to join our monthly Women's Self-Protection Training group class for a supportive and empowering experience.

  • Please wear a sleeved shirt or rashguard (no tank tops) and bottoms that cover the knees, such as leggings or sweatpants.

    Bring a water bottle and any snacks you might like.

  • We would love to help you get your start in self protection training. No prior experience is needed. Our instructors take the time to understand your goals and skill levels, providing personalized training to meet your needs.

Private Tactical Training

$200 - 1.5 hr

  • Tactical or Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Training focuses on the tactics and techniques required to effectively operate in confined spaces where quick decision-making and precision are crucial. At A+R Tactics, our CQB private training sessions allow you to customize your experience

  • You have full control over your training journey, with the ability to choose from a wide range of topics and skill sets tailored to your needs. Our experienced instructors will guide you through essential CQB techniques, including Dynamic Rifle and Pistol operations, Home Defense strategies, Vehicle CQB, and Active Shooter scenarios. Whether you’re focused on enhancing your tactical abilities, securing your home, or preparing for potential threats, A+R Tactics provides comprehensive, personalized training to help you achieve your goals.

  • Please bring mechanic or tactical-style gloves. A shirt with sleeves, long pants, and closed toe shoes are required for training and long, loose layers such as hoodies, sweatpants, light jackets, or loose-fitting jeans are required for the marking rounds scenario training portion of your training.

    You’re encouraged to bring a water bottle and any snacks you may want during your session.

    You are also welcome to bring your own kit, Glock 17 compatible holster, and weapon-mounted or handheld lights.

    A Glock 17T training pistol or AR-15, marking rounds ammunition, and all required PPE will be provided.

    If you plan to train with a rifle, you may bring your own AR-15 chambered in 5.56. Please leave your bolt carrier group at home. No live bolts are permitted in the training area.

    Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a shirt with sleeves are required for all shoot house training. Tank tops, shorts, sandals, and slides are not permitted.

  • With our monthly membership, you have the flexibility to choose from any of our private training options for your two monthly sessions. Simply share your specific training goals with our instructors, and we’ll tailor each session to align perfectly with your personal training journey.

Women's Monthly Self Protection and Shoot House Scenario Training Membership

  • We offer a monthly group class where women come together to learn practical personal safety techniques. At the Women's Training Institute (WTI), we don’t prescribe what you should or shouldn’t do; instead, we empower you with options, techniques, and strategies to analyze situations and respond in a way that best suits you. By the end of the training, you'll be equipped with a plan and the confidence to handle situations such as harassment, threats, stalking, and abuse—whether from strangers or someone you know.

  • Join a supportive and empowering training environment designed by and for women. This membership grants you access to our monthly Women’s Self-Protection & Shoot House Scenario Training.

  • The rotating curriculum equips you with essential self-protection skills, focusing on key areas such as situational awareness, threat mitigation, and de-escalation. You'll learn defense techniques against strikes, chokes, takedowns, and weapons, along with escape tactics and effective striking. We cover home and travel safety, building mental resilience, trauma response, and close quarters firearm use. Scenario-based training in our Shoot House enhances your ability to apply these skills in real-world situations, ensuring you're fully prepared for any challenge.

  • We recommend wearing sleeved shirts and bottoms that extend past the knee, as you'll be working on mats, against rough surfaces, and in the Shoot House. Please wear tennis shoes; mat shoes are optional, as shoes aren’t allowed on the mats (barefoot or socks are fine). Don’t forget to bring water and any snacks you might need. If you have blade trainers or a Glock 17-compatible holster, feel free to bring those along as well.

    You can train without firearms,

    A Glock 17T training pistol, marking rounds ammo, and all necessary PPE will be provided for your session.

  • We would love to help you get your start in self protection and firearms training. Our instructors take the time to understand your goals and skill levels, providing personalized training to meet your needs.

  • No, training with a firearm is completely optional. Our self-protection training can be tailored to focus on unarmed defense, including scenario training in the Shoot House that emphasizes empty-handed techniques and strategies for defending yourself without a weapon.
