Train for What Really Matters: A+R Tactics Monthly Open Scenario Night

Every first Friday of the month, the lights come on at A+R Tactics for one of our most popular events, Open Scenario Training Night. It’s three hours of immersive, hands-on experience where civilians, first responders, and professionals come together to train through real-world challenges.

This isn’t static target shooting or casual range work. Each class drops you into realistic scenarios that test your movement, accuracy, and split-second judgment under pressure. The focus is on Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and scenario training, skills that matter when life moves fast and space is tight.

Whether you’re learning for fun, to defend your home, or to protect others, this training night gives you the reps and the context that make the difference.

What Makes the Monthly Training Unique

Each month brings a new focus—room clearing, hallway movement, use-of-force decision-making, or target discrimination. The curriculum rotates and builds over time, so every session challenges returning participants while staying accessible for newcomers.

The best part? You don’t have to bring a thing.
Your $175 registration covers everything—gear, ammo, holsters, and safety equipment. You’ll use our Glock 17T pistols, or bring your own Glock 17/19-compatible holster if you prefer. If you own an AR-15, you can bring it (just leave the bolt carrier group at home).

From the moment you step in, instructors guide you through each evolution with clarity and precision, balancing safety with stress-tested realism.

Inside the Training

In a typical session, you’ll learn how to:

  • Move safely and efficiently through rooms and hallways

  • Identify positive threats under pressure

  • Make fast, lawful use-of-force decisions

  • Apply tactics while managing chaos around you

  • Engage in force-on-force scenario work that mimics real stress

You’ll sweat. You’ll think fast. And you’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of how you respond when seconds matter.

What to Bring

  • Closed-toe shoes and long pants

  • A sweatshirt or hoodie for added protection during scenario work

  • Optional: Your own Glock-compatible holster or AR-15 (no BCG)

All other equipment is provided.

Why We Train Together

We’ve seen time and again how training changes people—not just their skill, but their confidence. When you test yourself under controlled stress, something shifts. You start to understand how your body and mind work in real pressure situations. That kind of clarity doesn’t come from theory—it comes from experience.

Our Open Scenario Nights are built for that experience.
They’re open to all skill levels and designed to create an environment where you can grow every month alongside other students who share your mindset for preparedness.
